Goodbye Korea

So today’s my last day in Korea – tomorrow afternoon I start a 21-hour journey back to the States (Seoul->LAX, LAX->Phoenix, Phoenix->KC). I’ll be staying with family in KC for the next week, before flying out to DC the following weekend to start orientation.

I’ve been spending most of my last week here doing the tourist thing and checking out local sights that I missed earlier. The National Museum of Korea was one particular highlight – very large and housing an impressive collection (also free, which is always  a good thing).

I also wanted to do a few more hikes, but the rainy season put a damper on my plans. Instead, enjoy these pics from a hike near Danggogae subway station I did a few weeks ago.

Peak at Dobongsan (~740m). Obviously bad visibility due to fog/rain combo

Danggogae region view of mountains - very pretty!
